The SD Card System is a platform agnostic method to add an SD card, real time clock and potentially many other peripherals to almost any computer system.
The system consists of a shield plugs into an Arduino Mega (not the smaller version). The shield has a micro SD card socket, a few LEDs a set of pins for plugging in a real time clock, and a parallel port connector for interfacing to the host computer system. The shield plugs into an Arduino Mega and our software loads onto the Arduino. Source code is on our Download page and is free for use.
The interface uses 8 bits for data and three bits for handshaking.
