VCF East – May 3-5

Our next show will be VCF East in Wall NJ (USA, east coast) May 4-5.  The conference is the 3rd through the 5th, but the exhibit area is only on Saturday and Sunday.

Details are on the VCF East page.

We’ll be in the commercial exhibitor area like previous years, not in the main exhibit halls.  This is a big show spread over several buildings, so if you don’t find us right away, just keep looking!  As usual, we should have at least one of almost everything at the show, but there will be multiples of most things.  This year I plan on less emphasis on the SS-50 products but more of the KIM Clone line.  If there is anything in particular you’d like to see and try out, just let me know so I can be sure to have at least one available and on display.

For those a bit to the west, we are planning on exhibiting at VCF MW in September as well.  Those are the only shows we’re planning on this year.

New Product: SS-50 RAM/EEPROM Board

Over the years a number of people have asked for a board to hold ROMs/EPROMs so they could commit their code to permanently be in memory, or to provide a larger space for a more modern monitor than could be fit onto some older CPU boards.  Since we already had a RAM board, it wasn’t too hard to extend it and add an EEPROM socket:

There are three DIP switches to select whether RAM or EEPROM are mapped into memory.  The RAM can cover from 0000 to FFFF, while the EEPROM can cover from 8000 to FFFF.  Each 4K block can be controlled as to whether it is RAM, EEPROM or nothing.

This is available either fully assembled or as a bare board.
