Documentation Page Updates

I’ve put documentation for almost everything we sell on the official Documentation page, finally!

Most product pages in the store have been updated as well but there are a few products were things are still missing.  I’ll keep adding files.

In the past I used to send out a USB thumb drive with documentation, but I’d like to stop doing that and just have everything on-line instead.  If you find that there is something missing or if you got a revision of a board that doesn’t have updated data, please let me know so I can either re-zip with the latest files or put the missing documents on-line.

SS-50 Prototyping Board

This has been on the workbench for a couple years now, but I finally got the last changes done.  A few customers provided feedback about the earlier version so I rolled those changes in, and I’m hoping this is a big hit for the SS-50 community.

It is available as either a bare board or fully assembled.  Clearly all the components are very common.  If you go to the product page the documentation is available and has the part number for the somewhat odd spring-loaded connector in the top right corner, everything else is common.

I’ve used the earlier revision to build a memory board and even played with a video board, but never built a CPU with it.  I’m hoping someone will add an interesting processor to their SS-50 machine.

Excellent Medical News

My oncologist confirmed that I am now in full remission; they have not been able to detect any traces of leukemia in the latest bone marrow biopsy but there is one more test that we will get results from on November 24th.  If that’s also negative, which he expects, then we start the process of getting me off the medications, start getting vaccinated, and slowly getting ready to back into the real world.  In the mean time I have to be extremely careful about exposure to childhood diseases and of course COVID-19.

Today was very much a kick-back-and-relax kind of day so not much got done with Corsham Tech issues.  We’re also experiencing extremely nice weather for this time of year (mid-70s F, mid 20-s C) so I spent a lot of time cleaning the garage.  I have accumulated far too much stuff, some of which barely gets used, so having the garage even a bit cleaner made the day seem even better.
