Documentation

For years, I have included a USB thumb drive with most orders which contained documentation for all our boards, including user manuals and schematics.  People have bought used boards on eBay, traded for one, lost the thumb drive, or for some other reason do not have access to the documentation and have emailed me asking for assistance which I am always glad to provide.  However, it makes sense to get everything on-line.  It’s a bit harder for me as any updates to the documentation needs to be transferred to the web page as well as on the thumb drive image.

Most of the documentation comes in zip files that unzip into directories which may have multiple sub-directories for specific revisions of the product.

Github is your friend.  All of the code I write is on our github repository for use.

KIM Products, including KIM Clone

There are two items here.  The KIM Monitor is our slightly modified version of the original KIM monitor, which is what is placed on one of the EPROMs on the KIM Clone.  Minor changes involved removal of the cassette I/O routines, adding a couple games, modifying the L command to accept Intel HEX format files, and setting the IRQ and NMI vectors automatically.

The xKIM monitor is our extension to the KIM monitor and is present on the second EEPROM on the KIM Clone and also on the EEPROM on the KIM-1 60K RAM/EEPROM board.  It is terminal-only extensions, nothing new at the keypad.  Quite a few new commands as well as support for the SD Card System.
