Long term suspension of business

Over the last few weeks I have been feeling weaker and eventually starting losing my breath while taking short walks.  My doctor sent me to the emergency room where I was diagnosed with Leukemia.  The treatment will require another 6 to 8 weeks in the hospital, so there is no way I can fill orders.

I have email, but won’t be checking very often.  It is unlikely any development work will take place, although my wife and kids have offered to bring things in for me to work on.

Any orders placed will be cancelled until further notice and monies refunded.

Another Great VCF!

It’s been a long few weeks getting ready for VCF East and it all paid off… another fun weekend showing our products and meeting more and more customers!  My wife helped unload and set-up on Friday night, but I ran solo on Saturday and Sunday.  The rain on Sunday didn’t seem to bother anyone too much and the crowd seemed to be having a great time regardless of the weather.  The vendors packed up and loaded our cars in the rain… I was soaked by the time I got in the car for the drive home.

As is always the case after a big show, I’m partially exhausted and also fired-up to get some projects done.  Let’s see, these are some of the things I’ve been thinking about tackling this week:

  • Getting MS BASIC running on the KIM Clone
  • Making changes and adding more debugging features to CTMON65
  • Making minor updates to the SS-50 65C02 CPU board and finally releasing it
  • Doing some more minor changes to the SD Card System
  • Maybe getting back to work on any of the SS-50 video boards I’ve prototyped
  • Possibly look at a 65816 CPU board for the SS-50 bus
  • Re-designing the KIM I/O board (USB serial, power switch, connector for SD Card System)
  • Debugging my Tiny BASIC interpreter more (found a few more bugs during the show)
  • Finish updates to my 6502 macro assembler

Many, many projects, very little time to get around to everything!  The great thing about going to a show is getting to see what other people are doing which then inspires me to get serious about making improvements to current designs or kicking off projects I’ve been thinking about.

Our next show is VCF Midwest in the Chicago area in mid September… if you can make it, look for us there!
