Falling very far behind on orders

As anyone who has ordered from me lately has learned, orders are not getting shipped very quickly.  Big orders are slower because they just take more time to prepare.

Four days a week I am over at an outpatient care center to get blood tests or blood transfusions (I am getting blood right now).  To make up the time at my day job, I work evenings and weekends to keep up with my tasks.  That leaves less time for Corsham Tech, causing orders and development to fall behind.

When time permits, updates are being applied to several boards, usually to fix problems that require certain hard-to-get parts to be used.  There are slight feature improvements planned for one board that I am hoping to finish designing and order this weekend.

My workbench is a total mess at this point; it will take an hour or two to get it cleared off, tools put away, etc.  Even my parts storage system is disorganized… I ended up ordering parts that could not be found.  Of course, within a few minutes of placing orders, my existing inventory was located again!

Working a bit slower right now

The chemotherapy started 10/4, along with other new medications.  As the week went by I was getting more and more tired, so orders are getting built more slowly than usual.  We even skipped the VCF swap meet today so a visiting nurse could come by the house and attend to the PICC line in my arm.

After sleeping most of the day, I am finally awake and will turn on the soldering iron to get some orders completed and out the door early next week.

Show on Oct 8th

There is an electronics swap meet at Infoage in Wall NJ this weekend, October 8th:

VCF Swap Meet

My wife and I are planning on setting up a table to sell off some excess equipment, parts, etc.  My chemo starts tomorrow (10/3) so there is a chance I won’t feel up to the swap meet, but we won’t know that until late in the week.  Usually it is the week after the chemo before the tiredness sets in.

The swap meet is outdoors, with no electricity, so this isn’t really a Corsham Tech show.  We are just selling off some equipment that is no longer being used in our extensive laboratory and production facility (ie, the basement).  However, if there is something you want to see in person, just let me know and I can bring some inventory along.

InfoAge is a complex of small museums including the VCF museum.  It is worth spending  few hours wandering through the buildings to see the rather diverse exhibits!
